Air shipping and ocean shipping charges
TL;DR
1. $17.99 per kilo for air shipping, all-inclusive of taxes and duties.
2. $35 per cubic foot for ocean shipping, all-inclusive of taxes and duties.
3. Air shipping: chargeable weight is determined by comparing actual weight versus volumetric weight. For ocean shipping, it is charged by volume only. Weight does not matter.
Air shipping cost calculation
Air shipping has what is called chargeable weight, which is a comparison of whichever is larger between actual or dead weight and volumetric or dimensional weight. Whichever is larger becomes your chargeable weight.
A simplified formula in inches and kilos for calculating volumetric weight is:
length × width × height in inches / 306 = volumetric weight in kilograms.
A simplified volumetric weight calculation using inches and pounds is equal to:
length × width × height in inches / 139 = volumetric weight in pounds.
We use the first one because we only charge you based on kilos, not pounds.
Air shipping has a minimum charge of $50 from our Texas warehouse and $100 from the Delaware warehouse. The cost we charge you is all-inclusive of tax and duties.
Ocean shipping calculations
In ocean shipping, all we care about is the volume of your item. We charge based on this formula:
(length × width × height in inches) / 1,728 = cubic feet × $35.
The minimum charge for ocean shipping from both the Texas warehouse and the Delaware warehouse is $150 per shipment.
