IPhone 17 versus iPhone 18 in Kenya
- IPhone 18 Duo is the only new thing introduced in the iPhone 18 series.
- I personally do not see much of a difference between the iPhone 18 and the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max series.
- You can get a significant discount on iPhone 17 and ship them by air.
IPhone 17 versus iPhone 18 in Kenya: how much would it cost to ship from the U.S. to Kenya, and where to get the best deals?
Apple has already released iPhone 18. The only major difference there is the new foldable Apple 18 design and a model that has never existed before.
When it comes to iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, I don't see any difference that is worth the incremental price. For example, almost everything is identical in terms of processor, camera, gigabyte, and the technology that moves the needle.
For the chip, the only thing that I see different is the year of release (for example, 17 versus 18). The only difference there is the year of release, but not a real difference in performance.
IPhone 18 has a slightly better battery, but nothing monumental. It may last a couple of minutes or maybe hours longer, but nothing monumental to distinguish the difference between iPhone 17 and iPhone 18.
IPhone 18 has come out with slightly different colors. To me, that is the only major difference between an iPhone 17 and an iPhone 18.
Should you buy iPhone 18 or iPhone 17 in Kenya?
Excuse my frugal nature, but this is the best time to own an iPhone 17, especially in the U.S. market, where an American consumer gets attracted to the next new thing or the newest thing in town. With that being said, iPhone 17 prices have just plummeted, at least $100 to $200 less than how they were being sold literally a week ago.
You can get a brand-new iPhone 17 for much less today than you would have paid a week ago, just because the iPhone 18 has been announced. Everybody is lining up to trade in their iPhone 17 so that they can get the next newest phone. If you are frugal like I am, I would even go for a refurbished iPhone 17 and pay way less, especially if you are buying from a reputable iPhone refurbisher like Apple.
How much does it cost to ship an iPhone 17 or iPhone 18 to Kenya from the U.S.?
You can expect to pay anywhere between $50 and $200, with the cost of your item being the biggest determinant.
It takes 7-14 business days to deliver, from when your shipment is dispatched from the U.S. to the time when you get it by air shipping.
