Understanding Warehouse Codes

Your unique identifier for shipping packages from USA to Kenya

What Are Warehouse Codes?

A warehouse code is a unique identifier assigned to every Kentex Cargo customer. It ensures your packages are correctly identified and routed to the right receiver in Kenya when they arrive at our USA warehouses.

Every package you send to our warehouse must include your warehouse code. Without it, packages cannot be matched to your account, which can cause delays or even lost shipments.

Your Warehouse Code
KCG-TX-1234

Understanding the Format

  • KCG - Stands for Kentex Cargo, identifying our company
  • TX or DE - Indicates the warehouse state (Texas or Delaware)
  • 1234 - Your unique customer number

Whether you're using air shipping or ocean shipping, your warehouse code stays the same and must be included on every package.

Finding Your Warehouse Code

Your warehouse code is available in your Kentex Cargo dashboard. Follow these steps to find it:

  1. 1

    Log In to Your Account

Visit kentexcargo.com and sign in with your email and password.

  2. 2

    Navigate to Dashboard

Once logged in, go to your main Dashboard page.

  3. 3

    Open "My Warehouses" Page

Click on the "My Warehouses" section in your dashboard menu.

  4. 4

    Copy Your Code

Your warehouse code appears in RED BOLD text on the page. You can copy it directly from there.

Your warehouse code is also included in your welcome email when you first create your Kentex Cargo account. Check your inbox if you need a quick reference.

Using Your Warehouse Code

When addressing packages to our warehouses, your warehouse code must be included as part of the shipping address. It acts as your unique identifier so we know which account the package belongs to. For full addressing instructions, see our addressing guide.

Choosing the Right Warehouse

Kentex Cargo operates two warehouses in the United States. Each has its own advantages depending on your shipping needs.

Head Office

Texas Warehouse (TX)

2120 Hutton Dr, STE 300, Carrollton, TX 75006

  • Kentex Cargo head office location
  • Handles both air and ocean shipments
  • Larger facility with more processing capacity
  • Best for most customers
Tax-Free

Delaware Warehouse (DE)

825 Dawson Drive, STE 10-AIR, Newark, DE 19713

  • Located in a tax-free state
  • No sales tax on purchases shipped here
  • Great for high-value electronics and appliances
  • Save money on expensive items

If you're ordering expensive items like laptops, phones, or appliances, shipping to the Delaware warehouse can save you significant money on sales tax. For everyday shipments, either warehouse works well.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Avoid these common errors to ensure your packages arrive smoothly at our warehouse and are shipped to Kenya without delays.

Forgetting Your Warehouse Code

Without your warehouse code, we cannot identify who the package belongs to. This causes delays as we try to match unidentified packages to customer accounts. Always include your code in the shipping address.

Using the Wrong Warehouse Address

Make sure you use the correct warehouse address that matches your code. A TX code should go to the Texas warehouse, and a DE code should go to the Delaware warehouse. Sending to the wrong location causes additional handling time.

Not Including Code on EVERY Package

If you order multiple items from different retailers, each package needs your warehouse code. Don't assume that because one package has the code, the rest will be automatically linked. Every single package must have it.

Typos in the Code

Double-check your warehouse code before confirming the shipping address. A single typo can send your package to the wrong customer or make it unidentifiable.
